Edward L Loper, Sr. (1916 - 2011) was active/lived in Delaware. Edward Loper Sr is known for Town-landscape, still life and genre painting, teaching.

Edward L Loper Sr. is an artist with over seventy-years of experience. He was born in 1916. He has not only seen two world wars but has lived through segregation and discrimination, all the things that many contemporary artists depict. He has met, taught and inspired many of these artists.
Below is information from his wife Janet Loper:
Edward L. Loper Sr. was born on the East Side of Wilmington on April 7, 1916. He is basically a self taught painter. He is represented in major permanent collections in the Philadelphia Art Museum, the Delaware Art Museum, the Corcoran Gallery in Washington, DC, Howard University, the Museum of African American Art in Tampa, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, and Clark-Atlanta University collection of African American Art, among others.
Loper was associated with the WPA Art Project from 1936-1941. In 1947 he started teaching full-time and continues to do so. He has private classes in ...
